Build The Era Celebrates National Roundabouts Week
Transportation and advocacy group Build The Era (BTE) is celebrating National Roundabouts Week (September 18-22, 2023) with a social media campaign, virtual roundtable discussion, and coloring contest.
National Roundabouts Week is a Federal Highway Administration-led campaign focused on making safe roads for a safer future.
BTE is hosting “A Roundabout Roundtable Conversation” with five leading roundabout advocates and experts on September 20th at 7pm ET. This free online event, open to the public, will discuss the past, present, and future implementation of roundabouts in the U.S. and how they save lives.
That same week, BTE is kicking off a coloring contest open to all kids featuring Ronda Bout, the colorful character from Ronda Loves Roundabouts. The book, created by BTE, teaches readers about roundabout use and road user safety. It is also the first children’s book about roundabouts. Any child 12 and under can enter the coloring contest. Three winners will be randomly drawn for fun prizes.
Throughout the week, BTE will share news and facts about roundabouts to build awareness and understanding.
RSVP for the roundtable event and learn about the coloring contest at www.BuildTheEra.com.
