    And Round-a-bouts definitely are much more sustainable than a signal-controlled intersection. Vehicles are slowed but not stopped when vehicles burn fuel most efficiently. Round-abouts can add landscape features that can be used to capture and treat stormwater and provide opportunities for art/gateways. Like many sustainable construction techniques, round a bouts are less expensive than a signal controlled intersection.
